Mint Chocolate Lip Balm
2 Tbsp Cocoa Butter
1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
1 Tbsp Almond Oil
2 Tbsp Beeswax
½ tsp Vitamin E
20 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
12 Empty Lip Balm Tubes
Blending Instructions:
Add cocoa butter, oils & beeswax to a heat safe glass measuring cup (pyrex is great). Add water to a small cooking pot to create a double boiler. Place the measuring cup into the water bath. Turn the heat on low and gently warm your oils until the beeswax is completely melted. Remove from heat, add the vitamin E and peppermint essential oil and mix well.
Pour into lip balm tubes. To avoid getting a hole in the center of your lip balm, pour in two rounds. For the first round of pouring, leave a little bit of room (about 1/8 inch) at the top of the tubes. Allow the balm to cool. Pour again, filling the tubes all the way to the top. This recipe yields approx. 12 lip balm tubes.
