Super Immunity Tea Blend

School has started! I don’t know about the rest of you, but a big thing on my mind is immunity. I gotta admit, I am dreading the winter. With two little ones in preschool I feel a bit like I am preparing for battle.  I have already started stocking my herbal medicine chest.  I have made fresh batches of my Immune Boosting Syrup and my All-Natural Hand Sanitizer. We are making sure to take our daily doses of multi-vitamins, vitamin d and probiotics. We have also created a new favorite family tea, the Super Immunity Tea Blend. It is rich in vitamins and minerals, boosts the immune system and knocks out germs! This blend is warming, sweet and delicious.  It is a nourishing infusion that can be taken throughout the winter to keep your family feeling healthy or can be taken during an illness to boost the bodies defenses.

The Herbs

Nettle: High in vitamins and minerals, this herb is a primo tonic for supporting the whole body through deep nourishment.

Ashwaganda: A nourishing tonic that supports a healthy immune response.

Rosehips: Rosehips are delicious and very high in a super absorpable form of Vitamin C.

Elder Berries: Elder berries are well known for their anti-viral properties. They help protect against colds & flu and also help to shorten the severity of a cold or flu once it has taken hold.  Their are also high in Vitamin C!

Cinnamon: This warming and delicious spice is antibacterial and helps with inflammation in the digestive or respiratory tract.

Licorice Root: Sweet and delicious, Licorice is antibacterial, anti-viral and moistening for the whole body.  It is good for coughs and other upper respiratory conditions.

Thank you Faith! I am so happy that I have all of these herbs on hand (except for the elderberry which may arrive in the mail today from MRS) and happy to have the reminder of the power of basic infusions for me and my daughter. Next time I order from Mountain Rose, I’ll click through from your blog. I hope you are your beautiful family are doing well… I always remember you so fondly from Rebecca’s. <3
